Delight of the Day 12/14

Marley LillyLet’s be honest. Ladies love monograms. We monogram our pillows, our bags, our planners, our towels – and especially our jewelry. One of my all-time favorite spots for buying monogrammed everything is Marley Lilly. They have pretty much everything you could think of. The best part? They offer items at every price range, so it’s a great place to find gifts this holiday season. Oh, and I have mentioned that they have flash sales almost every day? It’s true!

The lovely ladies there sent me one of their Monogrammed Classic Pearl Necklaces, typically $34.99, for the holidays, and it has been my staple necklace ever since. It comes in gold, silver, or rose gold and incorporates two of my favorite things – pearls and monograms. I love that it’s casual enough for everyday wear, but I could also wear it to my office holiday party.

Delight of the Day 3/2

Today’s Delight of the Day is Marley Lilly’s Monogrammed Scalloped Tote, on sale for $29.99. I love the mix of a casual, unstructured tote with polished scalloped edges! And at this price point, it’s kind of hard to think of a reason not to buy. I’d really love to pair it with a pretty new dress, so if winter could end, that’d be perfect.

Delight of the Day 8/16

As a Kappa alumnae, I still find myself obsessed with keys and fleur de lys. Hence why I’ve been lusting after today’s Delight of the Day for quite some time. I introduce you to the David Yurman Fleur de Lis bangle, $395. I’ve never been a huge Yurman fan. A sin. I know. But I simply adore this bracelet. It lets me show my Kappa pride without being too showy, because, let’s face it, I probably shouldn’t be wearing my letters outside of the gym anymore.

But, obviously, you don’t have to be a Kappa to wear this. You could be a Francophile. You could be part royal. Or you could just really like fleur de lys. Whatever your reasoning, this is the piece to ask for, for Christmas/Hanukkah/whichever holiday you celebrate. I know it’s number one on my list!

p.s. Just in case you have a Saks card/promo/whatever, you can also order it there!

p.p.s. Just saw it’s also available at Neiman Marcus!

And don’t forget – the last day to enter my Devon Alana Design giveaway is Saturday at 11:59 pm! One lucky winner will receive her very own monogrammed bow in whatever pattern she wishes!

Memento + Giveaway

I’m beyond excited to introduce you to Memento, my new fav store. They have every monogrammed item you could think of – plus more! Need a new monogrammed frocket? They’ve got it. Want to give monogrammed robes to your bridesmaids? Memento can do that. Monogrammed aprons? Chevron bags? Floppy hats? Yep. All that, too! This is my new go-to spot for gifts for friends and fam. Just think of what an amazing surprise it would be to open a box and see your very own monogrammed scarf!

Plus, I love their backstory. (You know I love a good “About Us” page!) “We believe that definition of Memento defines the spirit of what we desire for our customers: me·men·to /[muh-men-toh] 1. An item that serves to remind one of a person or past event. 2. A Keepsake…

Memento started in my basement with just me and 1 commercial embroidery machine. I wore all the hats, convo/email girl, shipper, sewing ribbon, cutting fabric, ironing, appliqué cutting, embroidery, and listing products. At holidays I would go to bed at 2 or 3 AM.

By 2010, I had three machines and hired seasonal helpers during Christmas and peak seasons. In August 2011 I hired my first full time employee. In April of 2012, I moved into commercial space! It was exciting and a little overwhelming at the same time. We have lots of space for production, packaging and shipping, and all of the computers needed to manage a growing shop.” How awesome is that?

Terri and the girls were sweet enough to send me over some products of my choosing to test out for the blog. I chose the Monogrammed Norts and 1/4 zip with Anchor and Circle Monogram (be still, my heart), although it was so hard not to add another oxford to my collection. It’s monogrammed. Cut me some slack!  I can’t tell you how happy I am with both. (For when you order yourself, because, obviously you will!: the shorts fit just like Norts, and the sweatshirt is unisex.)

There’s nothing I hate more than ordering something only to see that the beautiful monogram is wasted on junky material. Not these. Both products are extremely well made and comfy. So much so that the boyfriend better not have fancy dinner plans tonight, because I’m not changing. And the quality of the monogram itself is impeccable. I tried to take some close-ups so you could get an idea of how well it’s embroidered, but my pictures don’t do it justice. Lucky for you, Terri is SO generous (thanks again!) that she’s giving one of you the chance to win both of these products! How incredible is that? All you have to do is fill out the Rafflecopter below. Contest ends at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, August 6. Good luck!
