I have a confession. I always overpack. As in I go for a week but pack for three. I’m a planner by nature, so I always make lists weeks in advance and take clothes/shoes/toiletries so I’m covered for any situation. So, for our trip to Costa Rica, I’m trying to limit myself to a carry on (and I’ll split a checked bag with The Boy). Whilst browsing the latest L.L. Bean Signature catalog, I saw this adorable weekender (and this one, but it’s a little pricier) for $179.00. Now I just have to figure out how to get everything in this bag…

I’ve had a lot of questions about where I find all the fun stuff I post on my Instagram account, so I thought it made sense to do a post!
I was SO excited that my new Bean Boots arrived two weeks early! (They had been backordered until 2/4.) I purchased the 8″ Gore-Tex/Thinsulate pair, because I live in PA, and it gets pretty darn cold and snowy.
The whole $20 collegiate collection bookcase kinda clashes with everything; I know. I promise I’m getting a new bookcase soon. This week, actually. I’m loving this one from Target.
The rainbow books stacked horizontally: Puffin Classics for Young Readers / Set of 10 (At the time of this post, they weren’t available, but they’re on OKL every other week.)
The huge collection: Penguin Clothbound Classics / Set of 300 (Similarly, the entire set wasn’t available when I created this post, but check back! Or, if you’re only interested in a few of the books, try this and this.)
When I went to Paris, I pretty much lived off of Laduree’s macaroons. They’re absolutely 100% worth all the hype. Magnifique! So when I saw this book, Sucre: The Recipes, I knew I had to have it. Books a Million has the best price I’ve seen. We’ll all be French chefs in no time!
Are there any other pictures where you’ve wondered where I’ve gotten certain things? Feel free to ask!

Today’s Delight of the Day is a classic pair of boots – the 8″ Gore-Tex/Thinsulate Bean Boots from L.L.Bean, $169. Duck boots are a preppy essential – especially for preps in the North. It can get really cold up here, and, as much as I love my Hunter Regents, they just aren’t warm enough. Plus, I just found out you can order these shearling insoles to make your boots extra toastie, which is perfect for the 14* they’re predicting for this week in PA. Brr!
Added bonus: you can save 15% off the entire website until Wednesday using code JAN15, so that brings it down to!

Today’s Delight of the Day is the beautiful Poplin Dress from L.L. Bean Signature, $119. I don’t have the skin tone to pull off orange, but, if I did, you can be sure I’d buy this dress!
