I recently got the chance to review some pretty great products from CoverGirl thanks to Influenster. I’m pretty basic when it comes to makeup, but I love to try new products to share with you guys – especially those that help you stick to your budget, like CG.

Oh Sugar Lip Balm in Caramel – This color did not work for me. At all. I’m also not completely sold on the idea of tinted lip balms, either. I don’t think the colors ever last long enough. That said, I like how smooth it is and the level of coverage, so if tinted lip balms are your thing, this is definitely worth the $8.99 price tag.

TruNaked Eye Pallette – Love love loved this. I’m not a huge eyeshadow person, because it tends to rub off for me after a few hours. (Okay, that’s probably user error.) However, this stayed put through an entire night out filled with dancing. Plus, I like how it has all the complementary colors in one handy place; makes it easy for us lazy makeup girls. These shades not for you? They also offer several other options.

Plumpify Mascara – I’m a mascara snob. I think everyone is making insanely shapes brushes that don’t live up to the hype. However, I was very impressed with this mascara. It volumized just as well as my They’re Real, and it’s half the price.

Jingle Vox Box

As you probably already know based on previous reviews, I’m a member of the Influenster community. It’s an awesome program for bloggers in which great companies send out their products in exchange for honest blogger reviews. I enjoy trying new things, but I’m sometimes afraid to unless a friend or a blogger I really trust recommends it, so I love the opportunity to do the same for you!

The latest box I received is the Jingle Vox Box. It came with seven great products that I recently tested and would love to share.

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream – I actually already use this cream. I love how hydrating it is, and I use it year-round.

Hallmark itty bittys –  So cute! I don’t have kiddos, so I’m going to give this to one of my coworkers, but how sweet are these little cuties?

Pure Ice Nail Polish – I received this in Home Run. It’s remarkably similar to Essie’s Mint Candy Apple for a quarter of the price. Seriously.

KISS True Volume Lashes – I’m a total novice when it comes to false lashes (my makeup routine is very basic), but these were surprisingly easy to use and will be part of my NYE outfit. Wish me luck!

NYC Cityproof 24HR Waterproof Eye Liner – I can’t attest to whether it lasts for 24 hours, but this definitely lasted through an entire evening of drinks with friends, which makes it good in my books. Plus, it’s half the cost of everything else I’ve ever tried.

Ore-Ida Tater Tots – I won Best Girlfriend award when I busted these out for breakfast this weekend. Their website actually has a bunch of neat recipes that incorporate tater tots, which I’m looking forward to trying.

Thanks to Influenster and all of these great companies for sending me these products to review. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

Blossom Vox Box

I’ve been part of this really awesome program, Influenster, for a while now. Basically, they send boxes every so often with really great new products to try, and you share it with your friends on social media! (If you’re interested, you can sign up here.) This time, I got the Blossom Vox Box, a box dedicated to spring.

Contents:

Beanitos bean chips: These are so good! I love tortilla chips but rarely divulge in them, but the protein and fiber in these made me feel a little better about eating the whole bag.

Clairol Hair Food Root Cleanser: I have long hair that tends to get pretty oily at the roots after a day. I’ve only used this once so far, but I washed and styled my hair Monday morning and, as I’m writing this Tuesday night, my hair still looks good. Plus, it smells great!

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs: They call this leg makeup, but it’s essentially self tanner that doesn’t smell bad and washes off once you hop in the shower. I’ve actually been using this since last spring, and I love love love it. If you’ve seen a picture of me in a dress on Instagram, you’ve seen me with this on.

Bear Naked Granola: I added this to some Greek yogurt, and it was perfect on-the-go breakfast! Very tasty, even to someone who isn’t a granola lover.

Nasoya Zero Calorie Noodles: I was gluten-free in college (Celiac’s runs in my fam, but it turns out gluten isn’t my issue, so I’m not anymore), so I was very familiar with these before the Vox Box. They’re a great gluten-free, vegan, low fat, and low calorie pasta alternative. Nothing will ever truly replace pasta in my mind (I’m part Italian), but these come closes!

NYC New York Color City Proof 24HR Eye Shadow: True story. I really don’t wear much makeup. Mascara, always, but that’s about it. However, I did want to give this a try before sharing anything with you. I was really impressed with how long this lasted and that it didn’t cause creases on my eyelids – two things that have long prevented me from wearing eye shadow. While I still won’t wear it every day, this is great for special nights out.

Australian Gold Lotion Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30: I was really impressed with how moisturized this left my skin. I usually only put sunscreen on when I know I’m going to be in the sun all day, but this is great for everyday wear when you know you’re probably going to be in the sun but not enough to warrant your normal sunscreen. Perfect for parties that start during the day and transition into evening soirees.

Thanks to Influenster and all these great brands for letting me try their products!
