Today’s Delight of the Day is the Stripe Peplum Tee from Gap, $39.95. I found this gem on Pinterest paired with a pretty pink pencil skirt, and I fell in love. Such a great outfit for spring! My favorite thing about the Delight of the Day being from Gap? They always have amazing promos! Spend $75, and you’ll save 40% with code HAPPY. Need help getting to $75? See below. Happy shopping!

Today’s Delight of the Day is the Metallic Jacquard Stripe Skirt from Vineyard Vines, $158. This reminds me a ton of the Sail to Sable dress that was super popular last fall/winter (remind me to get that tailored ASAP), but it’s in skirt form. It’s perfect for work, date nights, cocktail parties – you name it. I’m loving it paired with some of the items pictured below from J.Crew, Old Navy, and Tory Burch in red, deep navy, and white.
Labor Day marks the end of seersucker and white denim, butttt it does have a plus side: major sales. In between all the parties and concerts this weekend, I’m definitely making time to take advantage of these blowouts. What are your must-haves?

Let’s face it: sometimes being preppy can get expensive. While we like to save money here and there (that sweater doesn’t need to be thrown away just because it has a hole! Sew on cute elbow patches!), when it comes down to the essentials, we like to buy the best. However, as a recent college grad who’s trying to save up for a new car and a new laptop (PC or Mac?!), I can’t always afford the best.
For instance, one of my favorite preppy trends that I have yet to try out is the smoking slipper, mainly because brands like Stubbs & Wootton charge $400 for theirs. Luckily for all of us, I found affordable loafers on Gap‘s website, and, at $39.95, you can afford to get several pairs! Which pair would you wear?
Today’s Delight of the Day is the Striped Shift Dress from Gap, $59.95. I love love love stripes, and this is the perfect casual summer dress. Put on a cute belt and your favorite Sperrys (or monogrammed Jacks), and you’re set. If you order by midnight, you can get 25% your order with code GAPSUN. That brings the dress down to $44.99! Don’t you just love when Delights of the Day become Preppy Looks for Less?!
This season is all about the colorful skinny pants. Every brand has a pair to offer, and these are some of my favorites. They range from under $20 to close to $200. While the Forever21 pants are inexpensive, my guess is that they won’t last too long. But, if you only plan to wear them for one season, they might be a good choice for you!
