Delight of the Day 10/19

I mentioned a few ago that I have a new obsession with Talbots. They are quickly replacing the place in my heart that was previously reserved for J.Crew’s basics. So when I saw that they were having a sale for 30-40% off some of my favorites, I knew I had to share. I adore this Collared Breton Strip Sweater ($38.99) and this Plaid Henley ($35.99)! Scroll below to see some of my other fav steals.

J.Crew Final Sale

J.Crew is offering 40% off its final sale items with code DAYFIVE, and there are some great steals! $60 for a vest? $84 for a jacket? Yes, please! Browse my favorites from the sale below:

Delight of the Day 9/30

Brooks Brothers Tartan

Today’s Delight of the Day is the perfect dress for this crazy transition weather. It’s still warm enough to wear dresses some days, but you’ve already retired your favorite little white dress, so what are you to do? Buy a pretty tartan dress from Brooks Brothers! Plus, when it starts to get cold, just pair it with a blazer and your favorite riding boots, and you can wear it until it starts snowing!

J.Crew – The Always List

I don’t know about you, but when I opened J.Crew’s latest catalog this week, I thought, “Yay, they’re finally listening!” The Always List is perfection. Everything is timeliness and very reminiscent of the J.Crew days of old. What’s are your thoughts? Are they back on the right track, or is it too late?

Added bonus: take 25% off of everything online with code {SHOPNOW}!

Delight of the Day 9/17

I don’t know about you guys, but I’ve always written Talbots off as being for older women. We have one right next to my favorite Starbucks location, and I’ve glanced in the windows, but I’ve never actually gone in. However, one of my favorite blogs, Summer Wind (I’m partial to anyone with good style who lives in Pennsylvania), always has posts with the cutest clothes, so I decided to give it a try. Thank goodness.

They had the best collection of cashmere sweaters. I literally bought every color in my size.  I love that they’re three-quarter sleeves, because I always find myself folding up long sleeves, which ends up making the arms baggy. Not cute. In terms of sizing, I wanted something fitted, so I ordered my typical size. I noticed on the website that people said the sweaters ran small, but they were probably looking for a more casual fit.

Delight of the Day 9/15

I know everyone loves booties for fall, but I’ve been a very reluctant convert. My mom always had them growing up, and they kind of always had a witchy feel to me. Perfection for Halloween parties, but not something I’d wear every day. Then I saw these beauties from Christian Louboutin, and realized they weren’t all so bad. Only problem? I can’t justify spending 1,000 dollars on a pair of booties.

Alas, my brief flirtation with booties was finished. Until I went shopping this weekend. This adorable sales associate had on the cutest booties, so I had to ask her where she got them. She told me they were Clarks. I was shocked, because I think of Clarks as sort of a granola company with comfortable shoes, but not necessarily the cutest. Well, I stand corrected. And at $140, these are much more in my price range.

Mad for (Ralph Lauren) Plaid

Unless you’re new to the blog, you know my obsession with tartan is real. While blackwatch is my favorite, I’m really a fan of it all. Instead of doing homework this weekend, I chose to browse Ralph Lauren’s latest tartan collection (never disappoints!) and picked a few of my favorites for you. Give them as gifts or keep them for yourself – no judgment here 🙂

Delight of the Day 10/11

Today’s Delight of the Day is the most adorable pair of flats. Ever. Brooks Brother’s Tartan Bow Slippers, $88, are absolutely perfect. Nothing says fall to me quite like tartan, so, naturally, I’m going to love a pair of wool tartan slippers. Plus, that bow! Eep!

(Please note that these are girls’ shoes, but I found this conversion on Zappos so that we big girls can order them, too!)

p.s. Don’t forget that J.Crew Factory is offering 50% off!

Delight of the Day 10/4

Today’s Delight of the Day actually comes thanks to one of my absolute favorite Twitter accounts, @MadrasandPearls. She asked me which color she should get, and while I said pink, now I’m thinking I want them all! The Hacking Jacket from Banana Republic, $150 (but 40% with code BRNEWFALL), is a great update to a classic fall blazer. I just love elbow patches for fall, and all the color options make my heart skip a beat. Which would you choose?

It’s also available in black and burgundy!
