J.Crew New Arrivals for Fall

It’s almost that time of year. Preppy girls everywhere will be in their autumn uniforms: riding boots, crimson sweaters, and blanket scarves  while carrying a grande skinny Pumpkin Spiced Latte. So where does one find all this autumnal fare? J.Crew. I know, I know. Hear me out.

While J.Crew has been slacking a little bit lately, they’ve gone back to the basics for fall, making them my first stop for back-to-school shopping. Technically, I’m getting my Master’s, so that’s still a thing.  Both regular and Factory have some really great promos going on right now to try to boost sales, and I’m loving the color palette. $138 for a cashmere sweater from J.Crew? Yes, please. Take an extra 30% off of that? I’ll even bring the sale associate a PSL.

Delight of the Day 6/12

While browsing Lilly for gifts for my sister’s birthday present, I stumbled upon the cutest USB flash drive keychains. Melly has a serious obsession with elephants, so this is pretty much perfect. At $32, this is a great grad gift for your friends at an awesome price for you! (Plus, while you’re there, you might as well order your agenda!)

Back to School – Agendas

It’s that time of year where all you lucky ducks are getting ready to go back to school. I’m not bitter about graduating. Really. So while I no longer get to pack all my stuff in a car and set up my room in Kappaland, I do enjoy rewarding myself with some back to dream school  shopping. This includes all new office supplies for my teeny tiny charming cubicle, new clothes le duh, and, most importantly, a new agenda. While I usually go with the Lilly planner, I wrote a post about the Day Designer  a couple of weeks ago, because there’s just so much out there right now. So, lovely follower, I dare you to look beyond the Lilly Planners – at least just to explore your options.

 Kate Spade, $36

August 2013-December 2014

Whitney English Day Designer, $55 for black or $65 for gold August 2013-2014 or January – December 2014

May Design, $20

August 2013-2014 or January – December 2014

 Sarah Pinto, $20

August 2013-July 2014

Which one will I end up getting? Probably the Day Designer. The Kate Spade looks very similar, so it does seem silly to spend almost twice as much, but the contents of the Day Designer definitely fit my needs better. Am I choosing practicality over cuteness? Yuck. I am a grownup.

And, while you ponder which planner to get, make sure you enter to win a monogrammed bow! It’s the perfect back-to-school accessory.
