Delight of the Day 1/30

home decor

As you can probably tell from my blog’s background, I have an obsession with the quatrefoil/trellis/clover pattern. I think it’s super chic and love scooping up everything I can find (cell phone covers, rugsframes). So when I saw Target had a gold mirror for $24.99, I obviously had to jump! Plus, with code NEWHOME, you can score an additional 20% off for 48 hours. Win win.

Valentine’s Day Goodies

Valentine's DayThe Boy asked me what I wanted for Valentine’s Day this weekend, and I blanked. I cannot believe that January is almost over. Where did it go?! After I got over the initial shock, I hopped online and started browsing for some ideas. I’m happy with some pretty flowers, but, if he insists, I’ll take all of these goodies, too!

Delight of the Day 1/20

j.crew pencil skirt

I’m a huge fan of J.Crew’s pencil’s skirt, so when I saw the Rugby Stripe Pencil Skirt, $69.50, I knew it’d be the next Delight of the Day. I love pencil skirts for work, and they’re perfect to transition into an evening look. (Happy hours after a loooong day, anyone?) I’d pair a basic navy shirt with a pretty statement necklace to take this skirt to the next level. I’d love to hear how you styled it!

Delight of the Day 1/15

Today’s Delight of the Day comes to us straight from Pinterest. I had been looking for this skirt forever when one of my AWESOME followers found it at Bloomingdale’s. Best part? It’s on sale!

I love it for small parties and date nights. You can pair it with a simple dark top and some adorable jewelry for the perfect look. Not a fan of white in winter? There’s black, too!

Delight of the Day 1/8

leather duffel

I’ve been searching high and low for a new weekender bag. My Longchamp has served me well, but it took quite a beating after five weeks in Europe, so it’s time for a new one. However, finding one was a lot more difficult than I had anticipated.

I love the bags from Frank Clegg and Barrington Gifts, buttt I couldn’t justify the price tag. I thought about the monogrammed weekender from Marley Lilly or Tuckernuck, but I really wanted a leather bag. Lucky for me, I stumbled upon Sole Society and found one for $84.95. Now, to be clear, this is vegan leather (aka faux leather, but not like those tacky pants girls used to wear in middle school). However, the quality of it is very nice, and you seriously can’t beat the price.

I wanted to test it out to see what all could fit inside. As you can see from my picture, I planned on going somewhere very cold (so I can try skiing) but with an easily-accessible hot tub. I was able to fit my Patagonia fleece, two sweaters, two pairs of jeans, yoga pants, two bikinis, a scarf, a dress, my Kindle, and three bags of makeup/toiletries – plus I threw a pair of the boys huge sweatpants in there just to test. Everything fit with room to spare. I call that a success!

p.s. If you’re visiting Sole Society’s website for the first time (or if you clear your cookies), they offer you a 20% off coupon. Win win! UPDATE: try this link. Next, use this one to get directly to the bag.

Marley Lilly Flash Sale

Remember my post about Marley Lilly? Well, they are having a huuuge flash sale right now. I’ve been eyeing up a bunch of stuff for quite some time now but haven’t pulled the trigger, and now that everything is on sale, I no longer have an excuse!
Plus, you can add a monogram on everything for free, so it’s a total win in my book.

Lilly’s After Party Sale

Lilly Pulitzer Sale

It’s that time of year again! Lilly’s After Party Sale starts at 8:00 am on Monday, January 5. As in the past, I’m sure the site will experience a bunch of issues, so I have a few tips for you!

1. Update your billing information prior to the sale. Like, now. If you already have your updated credit card/address info saved, it makes the checkout process much quicker, which can mean the difference in getting that cute dress or losing it.

2. Try accessing the sale on your computer, your phone, and your tablet. For the Endless Summer Sale, I could only access it from my laptop. This time last year, only my phone. You just never know!

3. If you’ve clicked the order button but haven’t been redirected to the confirmation screen, check your email before trying again. Over the summer, I placed the same order twice due to the site’s issues, and they didn’t accept returns 🙁

4. Go a little crazy. This is the only time you’ll see Lilly at this price until the end of summer!

They have a great Q&A section you can check out here.

Catholic Girl Problems

If you aren’t already following CatholicGrlProb on Twitter, you must be living under a rock you’re seriously missing out. Her account has had me cracking up for years. I’m not one to go to church every Sunday, but I did grow up Catholic, so I can relate to all of her hysterical tweets. But she doesn’t stop there.

You’ve probably already seen her wine koozies (genius!), but now she’s also offering several sassy gold foil prints. “That’s What Confession is For” is literally perfection (and “Rosaries over Bro-saries” makes me laugh every time I see it). I’m trying to get enough energy to brave the crowds at the mall so I can get it framed and hang it directly above my bar. How cute would that look? She also has a great nativity scene that I’m definitely framing for my mother next year for Christmas, and she even made one for my blog!

I love the idea of buying these, framing them, and wrapping them up for your friends – especially for housewarming gifts. They’re inexpensive + perfect for dressing up an empty wall. Which print is your favorite?
