Delight of the Day 1/29

I’ve been on a serious bag kick lately thanks to The Boy. (I’m still swooning over my Beau Bag!) My latest obsession has been trying to find a black bag that isn’t too matronly. I don’t know why, but I think a lot of black bags tend to look a little grandma-esque. I’m weird; I know. Anyway, I stumbled upon the Catherine Street Wensley from Kate Spade, $478, and I think it’s The One. (Sorry, Josh!) It’s actually available in a bunch of cute colors, which makes it kinda hard to choose black, butttt it’s so hard finding a black bag that makes me feel like this one that I think I’ll settle down and give the bag a name!

Delight of the Day 1/28

I don’t know about you, but I am exhausted with this weather. It seems to snow every few days, and the weather hasn’t been above 32 in weeks. Yuck. Needless to say, I’m dreaming of sunnier days. Thankfully, Lilly has made it pretty darn easy with their Nora Dress, $298. It’s definitely a bit pricey, but it’s also extremely versatile. You could add a cute skinny belt and pair it with pretty flats for work or class, or you could toss on your favorite pumps for date night.

I’ve had a lot of questions about where I find all the fun stuff I post on my Instagram account, so I thought it made sense to do a post!

I was SO excited that my new Bean Boots arrived two weeks early! (They had been backordered until 2/4.) I purchased the 8″ Gore-Tex/Thinsulate pair, because I live in PA, and it gets pretty darn cold and snowy.

The whole $20 collegiate collection bookcase kinda clashes with everything; I know. I promise I’m getting a new bookcase soon. This week, actually. I’m loving this one from Target.

The rainbow books stacked horizontally: Puffin Classics for Young Readers / Set of 10 (At the time of this post, they weren’t available, but they’re on OKL every other week.)

The huge collection: Penguin Clothbound Classics / Set of 300 (Similarly, the entire set wasn’t available when I created this post, but check back! Or, if you’re only interested in a few of the books, try this and this.)

When I went to Paris, I pretty much lived off of Laduree’s macaroons. They’re absolutely 100% worth all the hype. Magnifique! So when I saw this book, Sucre: The Recipes, I knew I had to have it. Books a Million has the best price I’ve seen. We’ll all be French chefs in no time!

Are there any other pictures where you’ve wondered where I’ve gotten certain things? Feel free to ask!

Delight of the Day 1/20

True Life: I love Peplum Tops But Cannot Pull Them Off. I think they’re so feminine and adorable, but I have wide-set hips and a big ole bottom, so they don’t quite work for me. For you lucky ladies who can pull them off, I hate you, you’ll love J.Crew’s Ponte Peplum Top in Stripe, $49.50. Plus, with code {SALE40}, you can get 40% off. Talk about a steal. Not bitter at all.

Delight of the Day 1/10

Today’s Delight of the Day is yet another dress I must add to my collection. Amongst the Lilly, Tuckernuck, and Vineyard Vines sales, my poor bank account is doomed! But I just can’t help myself – especially after seeing Vineyard Vines’ Maritime Stripe Bow Dress, $159.99. (Plus, use code WINTER1314 for 30% off!) Any dress with blue and white stripes is a dress after my own heart. Add adorable little bows? Yep. I’m done for. We can always make room for one more, right? 🙂

Delight of the Day 1/8

I’ve been lusting over today’s Delight of the Day for months. Sail to Sable’s The Flirty Dress is absolute perfection. However, I just couldn’t justify $248 on a dress. However, I was happily surprised to notice it’s now to $173. Is it still pricey? Yes. But it’s such a classic design that it will be perfect for all your fancy shmancy events in winters to come. Splurge, my dears!

Delight of the Day 1/6

Thanks for taking a break from the Lilly Pulitzer New Year Cheer sale to read the blog today! Hopefully, you aren’t too frazzled by the lag time. Today’s Delight of the Day is the 2 Park Avenue Small Beau Bag, $398. If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that The Boy got me the Beau Bag for Christmas. Can you believe he picked it out all by himself? I was so impressed! (p.s. I was actually already wearing the outfit below when he surprise me with it. I suppose it wasn’t too far a stretch to assume I’d like it 🙂 )

I personally like the small more than the regular one. I have a bunch of big Kate Spade bags and a large Longchamp, so this is the perfect middle ground. As you can see, it’s the perfect size for holding the important things, like little Atticus! When I first saw it, I thought I’d save it for spring and summer, but I’ve already carried it several times. I highly recommend it!
