Today’s Delights of the Day are the cutest ballet flats ever – the Silk Tie Striped Flats from Brooks Brothers, $126. Personally, I think it’s unfair that the boys get all the fun with Brooks Brothers’ bowtie patterns, and I guess someone there agreed, because they’ve created shoes with tie prints! However, I can’t decide between the Pink and Green and the Coral and Blue. Which would you pick?
I’m not sure if y’all have ever heard of Currently Obsessed, but it basically allows you to follow your favorite bloggers and see what they’re, well, currently obsessing over. I admit that I haven’t been keeping mine up to date lately, but I
avoided the gym spent all day Sunday deleting items that were no longer available and adding my new favorites. What’s your absolute obsession?
I know I say it every season, but J.Crew’s 2013 Spring Collection might be my favorite yet. It’s definitely the year of stripes for them, and I couldn’t be happier. My absolute favorite piece has to be the Rope Stripe Sailor Shorts, $75. They’re simply darling. Imagine what fun you could have styling these this summer! Blazers, button downs, blouses…the sky’s the limit with these. What would you pair them with?
Today’s Delight of the Day is the All Tied Up bow tie from Lazyjack Press, $78. If Lazyjack Press isn’t already on your list of go-to’s for bowties, you definitely need to add them. Their fun designs (Irish Carbombs; Sweet Shades, Bro; etc.) add a sense of humor to any outfit, and just imagine what great conversation starters they’ll be at your next mixer! If only I could get the boy in a bowtie…
p.s. I’m not much into filling out basketball brackets, but I’m absolutely loving Great Lakes Prep’s Brand Bracket!
Today’s Delight of the Day is Sloane Ranger’s Duffle, $66. At 22 x 10.75 x 11, this duffle makes for the perfect weekender bag. And how incredible are all the prints?
Side note: They have a myriad of products in each print, so, if you’re like I am and fell in love with a particular design (you know I’m a softy for anchors), you can get an iPad case, a wallet, a tote, a wristlet…you get the idea.
Although you’d never guess it from the current weather we’ve been enjoying, Seersucker Season is right around the corner! I don’t know about y’all, but I basically count days the days to Easter after Labor Day in preparation for seersucker and madras. In an effort to get us out of this cold weather slump, I introduce you to today’s Delight of the Day – the Adeline Dress from Lilly Pulitzer, $198. How perfect will this look with your favorite Jacks and Ray-Bans? I can just picture it now!
Today’s Delight of the Day is the Colorblock Sail Jacket from J.Crew, $125. The lightweight chino fabric makes it the perfect jacket for staying dry through the upcoming April showers or for days spent by the water’s edge. Plus, I love the backstory for this jacket. J.Crew’s designers were going through the archives and found a similar jacket, and they decided to give it a modern update with a slimmer fit and colorblock detail. Who doesn’t appreciate a nod to days past?
Also, the winner of the MW Coastal Goods giveaway is Samantha Elizabeth! Samantha, please look for an email from Wendy of MW Coastal Goods. Keep an eye out for the next giveaway!
Today’s Delight of the Day is the perfect shirt for the boy for St. Patrick’s Day! The Waters Edge Murray Shirt in Barbuda Green from Vineyard Vines, $98.50, is the perfect dose of springtime prep. Plus, don’t you think it will really bring out the green in his beer?
Today’s Delight of the Day is an adorable pair of pants from the Mad Men Collection at Banana Republic – the Hampton-Fit Gingham Crop Pants, $98. I’ve been counting down the days until the return of Mad Men, and I have an inkling that wearing these will somehow help. I love them paired with a sweater and cute wedges for this early spring weather!
